How do I turn on Xplor Payroll Processing?

Xplor Payroll Processing is in EARLY ACCESS.

Once the Payroll Processing add-on is activated in your account, you must connect your studio's bank account to transfer payments to your employees. Payroll Processing is currently only available in the U.S.

Navigate to Xplor Growth > Xplor Payroll > Payroll Processing > Get Started.

Xplor Payroll Processing partners with Check to securely transfer payments. Read the terms of service and authorize Check to transfer payroll funds > Continue.


Business Information

Complete your Legal and Trade name. The Trade name must match what is officially registered with the state and your EIN.

For Industry, select Hospitality or Accommodation. Fill in your Business structure (llc, S Corp, or company). We do not support sole proprietorships.

Complete the following:

  • Business phone number

    • No dashes or punctuation

  • Business email

  • Business website

Enter your Legal address. This must match what is officially registered with the state and your EIN.

For Has 'Studio Name' paid people before", select No. At this time, we do not support migrating data from other providers. This will become available soon.

For "What system do you use to run payroll?" select I do it manually. At this time, we do not support migrating data from other providers. This will become available soon.

Enter the number of employees expected to be paid this year. This is an estimate.

Complete the following:

  • How often do you pay your team?

  • What is your desired first pay date with Xplor?

    • This is the date the money is deposited in your employee's account. Payroll will be run three days beforehand.


Payment Information

With your business information completed, connect your payment method by selecting Payment method > Connect. You will be required to connect a business checking account for the same business you use to run payroll.

Your option to add your bank account includes:

  • Link with Plaid

  • Provide Account Details

    • Enter your Account and Routing Numbers

This is the bank account from which money will be withdrawn to pay employees.

The default bank account cannot be deleted. To delete, add another default bank account.


Tax Setup

Select Tax setup to enter your taxpayer information. Depending on your location, different options will appear. Your studio locations are automatically synced, so taxes are calculated in the correct jurisdiction.

Click Go for Federal tax setup.

Enter your business's Federal Employer Identification Number, XX-XXXXXXX.

Select My organization is not a non-profit organization.

Select My organization is NOT an agricultural employer.

Complete any additional fields required for your stat. Once completed, a check will appear under Tax Setup.


Filing Authorization

Complete any required federal and state forms to obtain authorization. This includes the federal 8655 form.

Once signed and submitted, Payroll Processing will be added to your account.
