Twilio Registration for SMS

How to register your business for SMS with Xplor Growth

Phone carriers across North America, the United Kingdom, and Australia require that all businesses using Long Code phone numbers, such as the one associated with your Xplor Growth account, register the phone number using their business registration details.

This requirement is part of an effort by phone carriers to reduce SMS spam.


What information is required to register?

The registration process varies by region and requires access to your country's business identification number.

The information provided must match exactly with your business's registered information to avoid submission errors.

North American Based Businesses

Business Information:

  • Business Name

  • Physical Address (Street, City, State Province/Region, Postal Code, Country)

  • Business Type (Sole Proprietorship/Partnership/Corporation /Co-Operative/LLC/Non-Profit)

  • Company Status (Private/Public)

  • Business Registration Number & Type (EIN for US-based companies, other business identifier for non-US companies)

  • Website

One authorized representative with the following info:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Title

  • Phone Number

  • Job Position (Owner/Director/VP/GM/General Counsel/CEO/CFO)

If you have multiple locations and accounts, it can be the same person registering provided that they hold the same position across all locations. If each of your locations has a different owner, they will need to complete the registration for their specific location.

United Kingdom Based Businesses

Business Information:

  • Business Name

  • Physical Address

  • Company Status (Private/Public)

  • Business Registration Number & Type

  • Website

Documentation is required for businesses not using a UK Companies House Registration Number

One authorized representative with the following info:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Title

  • Phone Number

  • Job Position (Owner/Director/VP/GM/General Counsel/CEO/CFO)

Australian Based Businesses

Business Information:

  • Business Name

  • Physical Address

  • Company Status (Private/Public)

  • Business Registration Number & Type

  • Website

Twilio requires a document containing your business name, address, status, and ABN to be submitted. If one document does not capture all of the required information we can utilize more than one, for example a utility bill or rent bill with the business name will suffice for proof of address.

  • Phone Number

  • Job Position (Owner/Director/VP/GM/General Counsel/CEO/CFO)

How do I register?

The registration process varies based on region and in some cases requires we collect a form of documentation to upload on your behalf.

North American Based Businesses

You can register directly in the Xplor Growth platform by navigating to Settings Page > Twilio Compliance on the sidebar, under Company Settings.

If you are logged into the platform, you can follow this link. If you receive an error, make sure you are logged in, click the Gear Icon (Under your initials, top right-hand corner) > Settings > Twilio Compliance (found under Company Settings).

Only account Admins can access this page.

United Kingdom Based Businesses

Your Xplor Growth Onboarding representative will submit your registration form on your behalf in the Twilio platform.

Please gather and send the required information listed in the above section to your Xplor Growth Onboarding representative at your earliest convenience.

Australian Based Businesses

Your Xplor Growth Onboarding representative will submit your registration form on your behalf in the Twilio platform.

How long does it take?

Once you have completed all three sections of the form (your brand profile, brand registration, and campaign registration), please allow up to 3 weeks for Twilio to verify your registration. You will be notified if there are any errors with your submission and directed to resubmit in the same way.
