If a customer opts out of updates and promotions, will they still receive transactional emails from the studio?

Yes! When customers opt out of email notifications for updates and promotions, they are opting out of marketing emails only.

Any transactional emails (e.g., reservation/waitlist emails, receipt emails, messages to the class) will still be delivered to their inboxes. Customers can opt out of these messages as well.
