There are two ways to remove contacts from an automation:

  • Remove from Campaign Button (Most Common)

    • This method is best for campaign auditing and updating enrollment conditions when contacts need to be removed immediately but may re-enroll in the future if they meet the new criteria.

  • Tagging Contacts & Setting a New Exit Goal: Ideal for removing contacts in these scenarios:

    • They do not meet any current exit goals and would continue to receive irrelevant marketing emails otherwise.

    • They request to be removed from a specific communication but do not want to unsubscribe from all marketing messages.

Remove from Campaign Button

Go to Automation > Marketing Automation > click on the correct Automation. On the Automation dashboard, click In Automation.

Check each contact that you wish to remove and click Remove from Campaign.

Tagging Contacts & Setting a New Exit Goal

If you do not have a Tag, it can be created under Settings > Assets > Tags.

Next, create an exit rule within the Automation using the Has an Xplor Growth Tag condition. In the Automation, click Edit next to Do you want to automatically remove contacts if they meet one or more goals? and create a custom rule for the Tag.

HQ Accounts will need to sync changes to child accounts.

Contacts will be removed from the automation after setting the changes live, and will not be eligible to re-enroll
