Synced Segments allow HQ accounts to create and sync segments and segment groups across all child accounts (locations), reducing the need for manual work, ensuring consistency, and streamlining the setup process for multi-location brands.

Syncing segments and segment groups will sync to all child accounts and can be edited by the child account.

Segment Groups

Existing Group

To sync an existing segment group to your child accounts, go to Segments > select the group > Options. There are two options:

  • Sync Segment Group

  • Sync Segment Group and Segment(s)

You will be prompted to:

  • Update existing segment group in each child account

    • This will override any edits made by child accounts

  • Only sync segment group into child accounts where the segment group does not currently exist

    • Child accounts that had this segment group previously synced will not be updated.

If you select Sync Segment Group and Segment(s), the same options will apply with segments.

New Group

When creating a new segment group by going to > Segments > Add Segment Group, you can sync to your child accounts by selecting Sync to all Child Accounts.

Child Account View

In Child accounts, the groups will have the badge in the Segments tab if they were synced from HQ:

Segments

To sync a segment for the first time, open the segment > Options > Sync to all Child Accounts.

If the segment has previously been synced, you will receive the following options:

  • Update existing segment in each child account

    • This will override any edits made by child accounts.

  • Only sync segment into child accounts where segment does not currently exist

    • Child accounts who had this segment previously synced will not be updated.

Child Account View

In the child account, synced segments will receive the HQ badge.

Segment Mapping

When a segment is synced to a child account, a mapped value will automatically be created to link it to the corresponding segment in the child account. This will streamline the process of syncing automations by eliminating the need to update each child account individually.

Segment mapping is available only for conditions mapping in automations, with support for selecting segments in pushed corporate emails coming in a future update.

Go to the Cogwheel in the top right corner of the screen > Settings > navigate to Mapped Values > Segments.
