Mass SMS is not a dedicated feature within Xplor Growth and requires a multi-step process in a system that was made to send out individual messages only at the moment.

When creating the auto campaign,

  • You'll use the General Event (no selections needed) condition as your entry rule (see below).

  • Set up your SMS message, set the message live, then set the Campaign live.

  • Finally, once the campaign is started, add the segment 5-10 minutes AFTER the campaign is live.

  • **Once the segment is added Do Not Touch the campaign. Please allow the system to validate information, which can take a few hours**

Please keep in mind a few important takeaways to our system:

  • Do not add a segment that has more than 1,000 contacts in a day. Our system throttles SMS to send 50 every 30 minutes and does not send between 9 pm and 9 am in your timezone - this helps protect the number from being marked as spam and ensures compliance with anti-SPAM laws is met. More than 1,000 contacts will get stuck and never send an SMS message.

  • The auto SMS message and the campaign NEED to be started first before the segment is added. If the segment gets added first nothing will schedule or send.

  • There is also an expected processing delay, as manually enrolling a large group of contacts in an auto campaign at once can take an hour or two to start to schedule messages. This cannot be sped up at all.

Please keep in mind, that if the segment is added to the campaign before the auto SMS message and/or the campaign is live the flow of the campaign will not work. You have to start over with a new campaign.

If all the steps above are done correctly you are all set! We cannot speed up the checks and balances of contact validation when a segment is added to the campaign but that information will trickle down the auto SMS message.
