Xplor Payroll uses standardized rounding rules to ensure consistency across all payroll calculations pulled from Mariana Tek. These rules apply to both currency and time data and may vary slightly if you use third-party integrations.
Dollar amounts are rounded to the nearest cent ($0.00)
Hours are rounded to the nearest hundredth (0.00)
Details
Dollar amounts entered on the Payrate screen are rounded to the nearest cent ($0.00).
Time clock shifts imported from Mariana Tek are rounded to the nearest second (e.g., 46.2451 seconds → 46 seconds).
Internally, all time durations (shift lengths or class sessions) are stored as a total number of seconds. These are converted to hours and displayed to the hundredths place (0.00).
This may cause differences between the total hours displayed and the sum of individual shifts.
Ex: If an employee works two shifts that are each 1 hour and 17 seconds long, Xplor Payroll reports:
Each shift is 1.00 hour
Total hours as 2.01
Rounding with the Gusto Integration
When the Gusto integration is enabled:
Hours adjusted on the Gusto Payroll Upload screen are rounded to the nearest thousandth (0.000), which is the highest precision Gusto supports.
When hours from Gusto (0.000) and Mariana Tek (0.00) are merged, they are summed without any rounding.
