How do I create an automation for a new profile created with no purchases?

This automation starts as soon as a new lead creates a profile and nurtures them for up to seven days. Leads will automatically exit the automation if they:

  • Make a purchase

  • Book a future visit

  • Take a class

Configure your entry rule to target those who are in the automation:

  • Condition: Creates a new Mariana Tek Profile

    • When Was the Profile Created?

      • To include everyone who created an account moving forward, select Static time frame > After > set the date the campaign begins.

    • What is Their Home Location?

      • Any or set to a specific location


Configure your exit goals to determine when someone should be removed from the automation. For this automation, each condition must be set up as a separate goal so the automation uses OR logic, not AND. This can be done using Add another Goal.

Goal 1

  • Condition: Made a Purchase

    • Customers who Purchased/ Did Not Purchase

      • Has Purchased

    • When Was the Purchase Made?

      • Relative to today > Static time frame > All time

    • Which Purchases?

      • Any purchase

      • If you wish to filter by credits and memberships, select a specific purchase type > Specific purchase category for "Which Purchase Category?" > Memberships and Credits

        • Additional filters include filtering by specific memberships and credits

    • Which Purchase Locations?

      • Any location in my account

Goal 2

  • Condition: Future Reservation

    • Customers Who Have/Do Not Have?

      • Has

    • When Are You Looking For?

      • Static time frame > All time

    • Which Visits?

      • All visits

Goal 3

  • Condition: Number of Visits

    • How Many Visits?

      • At least > 1

    • When Did These Visits Occur?

      • Static time frame > All time

    • What Types Of Visits Does This Count?

      • All visits


Merge Tags

Confirm the Account and/or Franchise merge tags have been created and have values saved.

  • [%first_name%]

  • [%first_name | there%

  • [%class_schedule_url%]

  • [%business_name%]

  • [%owner_name%]

  • [%business_name%]


This campaign utilizes six auto-messages:

  • Three emails

  • Three SMS

Your onboarding specialist will provide the recommended templates. If not in the onboarding process, reach out to support for access.

Please review the following items to ensure they match your brand:

  • Emails

    • Confirm that the sent from and reply to email addresses are verified in all accounts.

    • Confirm that fonts, colors, and logos are correct

    • Update content (including Subject & Preview Lines) to reflect your voice + brand

    • Update call-to-action button text (but not the merge tags in the "build" settings for the button)

  • SMS

    • Update the content to reflect your voice + brand


This campaign utilizes three auto-actions:

  • Three auto tasks

Your onboarding specialist will provide the recommended text. Please review the following items to ensure they match your brand:

  • Auto tasks

    • Update the task name

      • This name is what will appear in the calendar and follow-up management view once the automation is live

    • Update the task notes

    • Assign the tasks to the individual who will be completing the tasks.


Going Live

Do not set live unless the following has been completed:

When ready, set your auto-messages and auto-actions live by opening each and clicking the green Set Live button. Active items will appear green and marked Active within the campaign.

Once all items are live, start the automation by opening the campaign and clicking the green Start button in the top-right.

HQ and Child Accounts

For HQ accounts, read how to sync automations before making it live. Sync options include:

  • Rules and Content

  • Enter Rules Only

  • Exit Rules Only

  • Content Only

Additionally, there are different change access permissions:

  • View Only: Can't edit

  • Rules Only: Can edit rules

  • Content Only: Can edit content

  • Full Edit Access: Can edit rules and content
